Who is in the class?

A class has not yet been certified, but the plaintiff has filed a complaint seeking to represent Wisconsin purchasers of multiple models of Toshiba DLP projection televisions.  The model numbers are listed in the complaint, but we are likely to include additional models in the action as we learn more through discovery.

Can I participate in the case if I am not from Wisconsin?

Yes, potentially.  Our current action is limited to Wisconsin, but we are investigating the possibility of bringing the case in additional states.

Will the lawyers charge money to represent me?

No.  We will not charge money to review your case, and we will not charge any plaintiff we represent.  If the case is successful, Plaintiff's Counsel will apply to the court for a fee that is a percentage of the recovery from Defendant, and also may be based on the time spent on the case, and the risk of taking on the case.

How long will the lawsuit take?

It is impossible, especially at the early stages of a class action, to anticipate how long it will take to resolve.  Class actions involve several complicated and usually time-consuming stages, including motion practice and discovery.  Appeals can also result in significant delays.  We will do our best to keep you updated on the status of the case on this website.
